This monument by by Robert Pelletier represents Louis Cyr (1863-1912) who was for 28 years, the strongest man in the world.  The St Henri resident worked as lumberjack, policeman and tavern owner.  His statue can be found on the corner of St-Jacques, St-Antoine and Courcelle,







This statue of Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve (1612 – 1676), founder of Montreal, was erected in 1983 replacing the original one that was installed in 1894.  The statue can be found on Saint-Jacques Street across from the Sainte-Cunégonde Church.




Statue of Jacques Cartier, best known for claiming Canada in the name of France. This statue was completed in 1893 by artist Joseph-Arthur Vincent.  What you see today is actually a copy, because the original was falling apart.  The patched-up original can be seen in nearby St Henri Metro Station.
