Comments: Thank you for a wonderful photo experience. My father was baptised at St Thomas Aquinas parish in St Henri (1909) and I often visited friends in the neighbourhood.

Comments: Your site is excellent and well done. thank you for an interesting and strongly nostalgic tour. many of your photos are of scenes that i've seen in my childhood. i went to belmont school on guy street and i was raised on st.felix street at rue st.antoine from 1959 until 1965 and then in other parts of st. henri until 1975. no one took many photos in those days. so many churches, schools and buildings have been taken. kodaks were common but used mostly for family close-ups. your collection is rare. montreal is one of those cities that never leaves you. merci.

Comments: I live in St. Henri, I love this neighbourhood. I moved to this area 10 years ago. I am impressed with your photos. Your photos reflect the beautiful history of the past in it's buildings, statues, and parks! Especially for those of us who care to take the time to appreciate our surroundings while living in the present.

Comments: I truly enjoyed viewing the treasure of photos and commentaries on this site. I have recently begun to explore the historic neighborhoods of Montreal on foot, and remember seeing many of the images you have captured. I'd like to find out more about areas I have heard about... Griffentown, Goose Village. If you know of any sites that I can refer to please let me know. I think we live in a city of extraordinary texture and depth.

Comments: What a great job with the collection of pictures. I found what I was looking for.St.Thomas Aquanis Church. There they held Brownie meetings, penny fairs in the basement entered on StAntoine, the school was next to it. I wish there was a picture of that, in the late50'-early 60's. I await the day. LOL thanks,
